What happens after the customer clicks buy?
The checkout page is the last moment a brand fully controls the customer experience. Everything after that — picking, packing, the carrier handoff, customs if it crosses a border, the delivery attempt, the possible return — happens in systems and warehouses the customer never sees, and mostly never thinks about.
It's also where most of the actual brand experience gets decided. A damaged box, a late delivery, or a returns process that goes nowhere does more damage to repeat purchase than almost anything on the marketing side.
Brands that treat the post-click journey as seriously as the pre-click journey are the ones whose reviews mention the unboxing, not the refund process.
